Are Nigerians safe?

Tbh, I've never been one to follow up news. I always felt that I shouldn't stress myself over things I had no control of. I was wrong.

Nigerians in the country will relate to the feeling of fear sweeping like a tornado, over the country.

Nowhere is safe, not even our houses.

Some days ago, there was a threat to security in Oyigbo, Rivers state. The Biafran youths and the northerners were fighting. This resulted in death and casualties.

Also, in most southern states like Abia, the strife got real with raids and killings. One source said: "someone would knock on the door to your house, and when you went to answer the door, you'd be gifted a shot in the head." According to this man, the Nigerian soldiers were going to random houses and shooting the inhabitants with guns.
Another man said- "fear gripped my heart when I saw the fighter jets."

Fighter jets? I haven't googled this yet to know if there were actually fighter jets involved, or if it's only an exaggeration. If, however, there were, then the country is no longer safe.

My mum and her women friends were gisting, and (like always) I was within ear range. Nah, I don't eavesdrop, it just happens that stuff are always within my ear range. *wink wonk*

So, the lady, with her exaggerated canopy (head tie/scarf), was saying that while driving home the other night, her car broke down. Due to the recent turn of events the country, she got terrified and left the car to run. Need I mention that this was at 7pm! When did the dark become so... Unsafe? Romance freaks like us that seek solace in the beautiful evening sky, and watching the sun set, can no longer enjoy this bliss. The lady ran to the army post, where she was "saved" and got her car towed.

We all should oberseve a 7pm curfew please, I am tired of hearing- "a youth corp-member went missing", or " eight dead and twenty injured." Please, your life is more important than that club or place you have to be so late.

Thank you!
Peace out✌

Today on Anxiety

I was always teetering. I was always afraid. What if i couldn't take it anymore What if i just couldn't The darkness that pulled me in was mostly faceless. But sometimes it was the social media. Sometimes it was boys. Or my parents. Or a friend. Or anxiety. I have always lived so close to the edge One day, i just might slip and fall Or maybe I would pull through one more time. Maybe I'll find the strength inside. I envision my lungs bursting with joy, knocking down the darkness.

My 2018 Story

This year, I was afraid  My safe zone got breeched and fear almost crippled me. This year, I was sick and my heart bleed out. I became adamant to love and my heart couldn't conceive the concept of forgiveness. This year, I felt alone and I wet my pillows at night. Actually, The world broke me and i became a walking shell of the girl i used to be. Look how easy it is to spell out what i could tag my curses. Please, lets back up a bit. When I got abducted, I wasn't touched. Not harmed. The word of God which says touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm, which says people that mean to curse us will bless us; it came alive! Honestly, it was a miracle. The sickness didn't kill me, and believe it or not but my heart still beats in my chest. God commanded to love everyone, and if you don't forgive you're walking into your damnation. It was hard but I tried and I did. So, you can too. This year I listened to Apostle Joshua Selma teach on Favour a...
